How the ritual works
Chosen together.
Watched apart.
Remembered forever.
GRN ROOM is built around a repeating feature — a ritual with distinct phases that gives every film its own arc inside your circle.
No two circles work exactly alike.
Some circles vote. Others rotate picks. Some follow a curator. Some gather every week, others every month. Every circle chooses its own cadence, selection style, and atmosphere — and that choice can evolve over time.
The rhythm of a circle
Recommend
The circle nominates films.
Members can pitch film suggestions for the next feature, along with a personal note about why the circle should watch them. The pitch is the first record in the archive.
Vote
The circle decides together.
Members vote on recommendations, or a single curator or rotating picker makes the call. The selection model is chosen when the circle is created and can evolve over time.
Predict
Lock in your take before watching.
Before the discussion opens, each member submits predictions — how they expect to score the film, what they expect the room to feel. Predictions are sealed until reflections unlock.
Watch
Watch when you’re ready.
There’s no fixed screening night. Members track their progress — started, watching, or finished — and the discussion phase opens when the circle is ready.
Reflect
The room opens when everyone’s ready.
Reflections, scores, and reactions enter the record. Predictions are revealed and compared. The full conversation — public only to the circle — stays in the archive permanently.
Recap
The feature ends with a recap.
At the end of each feature, GRN ROOM generates a recap card: the room’s aggregate score, the strongest reactions, the most accurate prediction. One artifact per film, permanently in the archive.
What the circle builds over time
Circle DNA
The circle’s cinematic fingerprint.
Over time, GRN ROOM maps your circle’s taste across genre, emotion, director, and decade. As the archive deepens, DNA confidence increases — from forming to established to definitive.
Archive
Every film, preserved permanently.
The full history of every film your circle has watched: scores, predictions, reflections, and recaps. On Theater and Greenroom tiers, the archive is unlimited. Nothing is ever deleted.
Predictions
The ritual of committed expectations.
Predictions create accountability and conversation. Before discussion opens, each member locks in a score prediction and personal expectations. The reveal is one of the most engaging moments in the ritual.
Room Memory
What the room knows, stays with the room.
Scores, reflections, and predictions accumulate into a shared memory. The circle’s history is always accessible, searchable, and revisitable — a record of how the room has grown.
The Circle
A private room for a close group.
A Circle is a private, invite-only group. One founding member creates it, sets the selection model, and invites the others. Everything inside — films, scores, reflections, predictions — is visible only to circle members.
Circles can have their own cadence: weekly, biweekly, or monthly. They can use voting, a rotating picker, or a designated curator to select films.
Selection models
Voting, rotating picker, or curator.
Cadence
Weekly, biweekly, or monthly — set by the circle.
Visibility
Private. Everything stays inside the circle.
Membership tiers
Club, Theater, or Greenroom — based on your membership.
Films are how we mark time with the people we love. GRN ROOM is the quiet space where that keeps happening.
